1. What age is SoundHop for?

SoundHop is designed for children who are beginning to learn English sounds, typically ages 4–12. Children outside this range may also benefit depending on their level of English exposure.

2. Does my child need to know the alphabet?

No. SoundHop starts with listening, not letters. Children learn to hear and distinguish sounds before they ever see a letter. No reading ability is required.

3. Can children use SoundHop on their own?

Yes. SoundHop is intentionally designed so children can understand how to play quickly and independently. No reading is required to navigate the app.

4. How long should my child play?

Each set typically takes 10-15 minutes to complete. Short, regular sessions — even 20 minutes a day — are more effective than occasional long sessions. SoundHop is designed to fit naturally into a daily routine.

5. What happens if my child gets an answer wrong?

The round simply resets and the child tries again. SoundHop uses a mastery-based system — children must reach a minimum accuracy level before moving on. This ensures nothing is rushed and every sound is truly learned before advancing.

6. How much does SoundHop cost?

SoundHop offers two subscription tiers. The Prep tier is $5.99/month and gives access to Prep level content. The Full tier gives access to Level 1 and beyond, at $14.99/month or $139.99/year (roughly 22% savings compared to paying monthly).

7. Can I cancel my subscription or request a refund?

You can cancel your subscription at any time through Google Play. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.

8. Can I share my subscription with others?

SoundHop is intended for one child, one account. Subscriptions are licensed for individual personal use and may not be shared across multiple children, unrelated users, or used for commercial/institutional purposes (such as schools or academies) without a separate license agreement.

구독을 다른 사람과 공유할 수 있나요?

SoundHop은 한 아이, 한 계정을 원칙으로 합니다. 구독은 개인적 사용을 위한 것으로, 여러 아이나 무관한 이용자 간 공유, 또는 학교·학원 등 상업적·기관적 목적으로는 별도의 라이선스 계약 없이 사용할 수 없습니다.

9. What devices does SoundHop support?

SoundHop is currently available on Android devices via Google Play. For the best experience, a tablet is recommended, though smartphones are also supported.

10. Does SoundHop collect personal information?

No. SoundHop does not require an account and does not collect personal information. Learning progress is stored locally on the device only. Please note that Google Play may collect certain device and usage data as part of the Android platform — this is governed by Google's Privacy Policy, not ours.

11. What if I change devices or reinstall the app?

Learning progress is stored locally on your device. If the app is deleted, the device is reset, or the app is reinstalled, progress may be permanently lost. We recommend noting your child's current level before making any device changes.

기기를 바꾸거나 앱을 재설치하면 어떻게 되나요?

학습 진도는 기기에 로컬로 저장됩니다. 앱을 삭제하거나 기기를 초기화하거나 앱을 재설치하면 진도가 영구적으로 소실될 수 있습니다. 기기를 변경하기 전에 현재 레벨을 기록해 두시기 바랍니다.

12. Can teachers use SoundHop in the classroom?

Yes. SoundHop works well in both home and classroom settings. Its simple, no-reading interface means children can use it with minimal instruction. Teachers can use it as a warm-up activity, a listening center, or independent practice tool. Note that each student requires their own individual subscription — for classroom-wide or institutional use, please contact us at contact@soundhop.app to discuss a license agreement.

13. What is SoundBuddy?

SoundBuddy is the companion app to SoundHop. While SoundHop trains the ear — teaching children to hear and distinguish sounds — SoundBuddy turns those sounds into letters, words, and writing. Together, they form one complete English literacy journey. SoundHop + SoundBuddy = One complete journey. (Coming soon)

15. I live outside Korea — which laws apply to me?

Our policies are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, where Acron Inc. is based. However, if you're using SoundHop from another country, you're still entitled to any non-waivable consumer protection or privacy rights under your local laws — our policies don't limit those rights.

한국 외의 지역에 거주 하는데 어떤 법이 적용되나요?
